Copyright Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-23

TikMonitor is operated by Abiroot SARL. We respect copyright and respond to notices of claimed infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and comparable laws.

How recordings work on TikMonitor

Recording is a Studio feature that a subscriber switches on for a specific creator. A recording is stored at the subscriber's direction, is visible only inside that subscriber's workspace, and is deleted automatically at the end of its retention period (currently 14 days). TikMonitor does not publish recordings, list them publicly, or offer them for public download.

Live statistics such as viewer counts, gift totals and go-live times are facts about a public broadcast. They are not copyrighted works, and this policy does not cover them. Requests about personal data are handled under our Privacy Policy.

Designated agent

Send copyright notices to our designated agent, registered with the US Copyright Office (registration DMCA-1083894):

  • Ayman Abi Aoun, Abiroot SARL
  • Snow Hill 2 Building, Ground Floor, Faraya, Kesrwan 4764, Lebanon
  • Phone: +961 70 442 737
  • Email: [email protected]

Email is the fastest route. Notices sent anywhere else, including the contact form, may not be treated as formal notices.

What a notice must include

To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for them.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed, for example the TikTok account and the date of the live broadcast.
  3. Identification of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it, for example the TikTok username and the broadcast dates.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

We may ask you to confirm that you control the TikTok account before acting, for example by placing a short code we send you in the account's bio. Incomplete notices will be answered with a request for the missing items. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

What we do with a valid notice

We remove or disable access to the identified recordings promptly and tell the subscriber whose workspace held them.

Counter-notices

If you are a subscriber and believe a recording was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the agent above. It must include your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and telephone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of a US federal district court (or, if you are outside the US, any judicial district in which TikMonitor may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the claimant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of subscribers who are the subject of repeated valid infringement notices.
