How does TikMonitor calculate TikTok Live earnings?
TikMonitor multiplies the diamonds a creator receives during a public TikTok Live by $0.005 USD, TikTok's published creator payout rate per diamond. TikTok's roughly 50% platform cut is already reflected in that rate, so there is no second halving step.

Where does the data come from?

When a creator you track goes live, TikMonitor connects to that room and reads gift, chat, like and viewer events as they are broadcast. There is no private API involved, and nothing is scraped from behind a login. If a stream is not public, we cannot see it.
How current is the number, and what can go wrong?
Figures update within a couple of seconds of the gift landing. Three things commonly make a total read low. Monitoring that starts mid-stream misses everything sent earlier. A dropped connection leaves a gap until we reconnect. And on the free plan, an ongoing live is shown only for its first 60 minutes, so the running total stops there even though the stream continues.
Where a session was cut short for any of these reasons, treat the total as a floor rather than a final figure.
