RecTikTok Live Recorder

Record TikTok Lives — even the ones you sleep through.

Unless the creator saved a replay before going live, their stream is gone the moment it ends. TikMonitor records the TikTokers you pick and keeps the full video for 30 days — watch it in the dashboard or download the MP4, with every gift, gifter name and the running USD total synced to the same timeline.

Can you rewatch someone else's TikTok Live?

Only if that creator turned on Save LIVE Replay before going live — then it sits on their profile's LIVE tab for about 30 days. It is off by default and cannot be switched on mid-stream, so most lives leave nothing behind. To rewatch someone reliably, something has to be recording while the live airs. That's what TikMonitor does: pick the TikTokers you care about, and every live they run is captured from the first second, whether you're watching or not.

How the recorder works

Step 1

Pick who to record

Flip the Record switch on any TikToker you track. Studio includes 10 recording slots — you choose which creators use them.

Step 2

We capture the stream

The moment they go live, recording starts server-side. No tab open, no phone tied up, no being awake at 4 AM for a stream in another timezone.

Step 3

Watch or download for 30 days

When the live ends, the full video lands on the session page next to the gift and chat timeline. Stream it there or download the MP4. After 30 days it's deleted.

More than a screen recorder

Screen-recording a live works — if you catch the start, stay online for the whole stream, and don't need your phone. And you still end up with a silent video and no idea who sent what.

We are not the cheapest recorder. On purpose.

If all you want is the video file, other tools are cheaper and we would rather tell you than waste your money. TikRec is €3.99 a month for 25 creators and the files never expire. StreamRecorder has a free tier and covers 18 platforms. The open-source Python recorder costs nothing if you have a server to run it on.

What none of them return is the money. A TikTok live is not just footage — it is a room where people are sending gifts worth real amounts. TikMonitor records the gift events alongside the stream, so the video arrives with the sender usernames, the chat, the viewer curve and a running diamond-to-USD total on the same timeline. You jump to the minute the room changed instead of scrubbing for it.

The fine print, upfront
  • Recording starts when you turn it on. A live that already ended can't be recovered — by us or anyone else.
  • Videos are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Download what you want to keep.
  • 10 recording slots per Studio plan ($24.99/mo). Lower plans see the toggle but can't flip it.
  • Public broadcasts only — we record what any viewer in the room could see.

Questions people actually ask

Can you rewatch a TikTok Live from someone else?

Only if that creator switched on Save LIVE Replay before going live — then the replay sits on their profile's LIVE tab for about 30 days and anyone can watch it. It's off by default and can't be enabled mid-stream, so most lives leave nothing behind. To rewatch a creator reliably, something has to record their lives while they air. TikMonitor Studio does that automatically for the TikTokers you pick.

Does TikTok save lives after they end?

Not unless the creator opted in. Save LIVE Replay is a toggle they have to flip before each broadcast; when they do, the replay appears on their profile's LIVE tab for roughly 30 days, then TikTok deletes it. When they don't — which is the common case — nothing is kept, for viewers or for the creator.

How does the recorder work?

Turn recording on for a TikToker you track (Studio includes 10 recording slots). When they go live, TikMonitor captures the stream from the start — you don't need to be online, or even awake. When the live ends, the video is processed and appears on the session page.

Can I download the video?

Yes. Every recording can be watched in the dashboard or downloaded as an MP4 for 30 days after the live. After 30 days the video is deleted, so download anything you want to keep.

Do I have to be watching while it records?

No — that's the point. Screen-recording a live means being awake, online, and giving up your phone for the whole stream. TikMonitor records server-side while you do something else.
