Boosters and power-ups: the Boosting Glove and the rest
Match Power-ups are TikTok's special effects for a battle. TikTok gives them out at random to the top three contributors of the winning creator or team, and each one does something different:
- Boosting Glove: multiplies the match points from gifts for 30 seconds, with a chance of up to 5x points.
- Magic Mist: hides your creator's points from the opponent for 30 seconds.
- Time Maker: extends the match by up to 10 seconds.
- Stun Hammer: lets supporters trigger hammer effects on the opponent through gifts.
- No. 2 and No. 3 Boosters: double the points from the second and third contributors' gifts for 30 seconds.
What winning or losing a battle means
The result is about bragging rights and momentum, not the money already sent. A creator still earns about $0.005 per diamond either way.
