TikTok Diamonds
The creator-side currency earned from live gifts. 1 diamond = $0.005 USD at payout — TikTok's ~50% platform cut is already baked into that rate, so $0.005 is take-home, not viewer spend.

Where diamonds come from
When a viewer sends a gift during a TikTok Live, TikTok records the gift's face value in diamonds on the creator's side. The coin cost and diamond face value are the same number per gift (Rose = 1 coin = 1 diamond, Lion = 29,999 of each).
How much they're worth
The industry-standard estimate of the creator payout rate is $0.005 USD per diamond, and that figure already includes TikTok's ~50% platform cut. TikTok does not publish an official rate. So 1,000 diamonds ≈ $5 to the creator's wallet — not $2.50. Viewers paid roughly $10 to get those 1,000 diamonds into the live. Payouts process through PayPal in most regions with a $100 minimum.
Why creators care
Diamonds are the clearest live-commerce income signal a creator has. Live monitoring tools like TikMonitor track diamond accumulation in real time so creators and operators can see which segments of a stream convert best.
